I am in Korea and engaged in food industry. The question is about the cultivation of L.acidophilus. I am trying to cultivate L. acidophilus in broth (temperature 37℃). But it is poor eventhough in MRS broth. I have to cultivate it for enormous volume. Eventhough it develop in small amount of MRS broth, I wonder whether it grows in large amount of broth using industrial materials. I want to know that L. acidophilus can grow in what kind of industrial materials.

MRS培地でのLactobacillusの発育は, 他の通性菌の通常の増菌液体培地での発育とは比較にならないくらい悪いのですが,
小生の経験と調査できた範囲の情報によれば, MRS培地はもっともよい液体培地でした。
さらに発育をよくするにはサプリメントなどの工夫が必要でしょう。
When compared to common aerobic bacteria in nutrient broth, the growth of lactobacilli in MRS broth is markedly attenuated. However, according to my knowledge and experience, MRS broth is the best for lactobacilli. If you want to enhance Lactobacillus growth in MRS broth, some alternative supplements should be considered.
