(2) バイオフィルムを産生する細菌にはどのような種類がありますか。
　P. aeruginosa, Staphylococcus属菌, S. mutans, Legionella属菌, Helicobacter属菌, Mycobacterium属菌などなど, 多種類の細菌によるバイオフィルム研究が報告されています。

(3) バイオフィルムを産生する条件はありますか。
　回答者が知る限りでは, バイオフィルムの産生条件は知られていないと思います。S. aureus が必ずバイオフィルムを産生するかと言えばそうではなく, バイオフィルムを産生する S. aureus もいるという研究結果があります。回答者個人の考えですが, ある条件で菌がバイオフィルムを産生するというよりは, バイオフィルムを産生する菌が存在してバイオフィルムが形成されるものと考えています。

　バイオフィルムと一言で言っても, 一律にバイオフィルムの構成成分は同じではなく, 構成成分など知られていないものの方が多く存在します。菌体の疎水性成分が菌体同士を繋ぎ合わせたものをバイオフィルムと呼んでいるのか, 菌がバイオフィルム物質を産生しているのか, 回答者も未だに判らないことだらけです。
